Enrollee
Updated: 29 February 2024
What Does Enrollee Mean?
An enrollee is a person who has health insurance coverage. This is the case regardless of whether they acquired it by applying for it themselves or receive it as part of an employment benefit package from the company they work for.
Insuranceopedia Explains Enrollee
Some health insurance policies, especially those provided by the government, have a specified enrollment period. This is the time frame during which a person can apply for health insurance. If someone wishes to acquire health insurance coverage for a given year, they must become an enrollee sometime between November 1st and December 15th of the prior year. It is possible, however, for people who experience a qualifying life event to enroll outside that designated window.
