Updated: 29 October 2024

What Does Effective Federal Income Tax Rate Mean?

The effective federal income tax rate is the rate at which individuals and businesses have their income taxed by the federal government. Similarly, disability income benefits may or may not be subject to taxation. Whether they are taxed depends on whether the premiums for the policy are paid by the beneficiary.
