What Does Insurance Institute Of America Mean?
The Insurance Institute of America (IIA) was founded in 1909 to provide training for individuals interested in joining the insurance industry. In 1953, the IIA began collaborating with the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters.
In 2009, the IIA was renamed The Institutes.
